Some changes for 2025

AJP will move to a summer season with Round 1 to be played on Sunday 19 October

A and B division will be offered on Sunday afternoons (1pm start)

C division will continue to be played on Sunday morning from 8.30am

No Mixed 10/u section in AJP - instead focus is on Super 10's program

The PTA would like 6 - 8 players per team to allow for weeks off, illness, injuries etc.

Age Groups & Teams

Graded within age groups where players participate in boys or girls teams aged:

12/u - Boys & Girls teams

14/u - Boys & Girls teams

Open (15-18) - Boys & Girls teams

**Each week between 4-6 players can play

Match Format

Singles

Four singles rubbers (best of two sets with third set match tiebreaker)

Doubles

Two doubles rubbers (8 game set)

Format

Home and away matches throughout the season

Travel Requirements

As the Pennant league is made up from Associations across greater Melbourne there is further travel than the usual Saturday competition.

5 weeks where travel off the Peninsula is required

Car pooling is encouraged. Home match venues will be confirmed.

Representative Gateway

AJP is now the gateway to playing all PTA Representative teams.

State Team Championships Qualification

To qualify for the State Team Championships in February 2026 (formerly the Pat Cash Cup), players must compete in a minimum of 3 matches during the 2025 AJP season.

How to Enter

Registration Details

Registration fee: $60 per player (tbc)

Covers team entry fees, balls and court hire

PTA will supply a team shirt

6-8 players per team recommended
